The Sri Lanka Medical Nutrition Association is the national professional medical nutrition association in Sri Lanka, which brings together medical specialists and medical officers of all grades and all branches of medicine who have an interest in nutrition. SLMNA is a non-profitable professional body which is driven by membership fees and all the officials work as volunteers. SLMNA is the Sri Lankan PEN society and country representative of ESPEN, ASPEN and PENSA.
This Novel association was established with the intention of improving nutritional management of patients and prevention of diet related diseases through healthy diet and lifestyle practices.
The association aims to provide a forum for its members to further their professional and academic development in medical nutrition, in order to contribute to the attainment of highest possible levels of nutrition status of the nation through provision of quality nutrition care in both curative and preventive sectors.
