The Inauguration Ceremony of the Annual Joint Clinical Nutrition Academic Sessions 2025, organized by the Sri Lanka Medical Nutrition Association and the Sri Lanka College of Nutrition Physicians, was held on 5th June 2025 at the Jubilee Ballroom of the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Hon. Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. W. K. Wickramasinghe, Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Prof. Stanislaw Klek - President - European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Prof. Stephane Schneider - Treasurer – European society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, Dr. Mani Naghibi and Dr. Royce Vincent, accompanied by other distinguished guests. The event began on a grand note with a graceful ceremonial procession, setting the tone for an inspiring and memorable evening.
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Jayani Thennakoon Jayaweera had been inducted as thePresident of the Sri Lanka Medical Nutrition Association (SLMNA) for the year 2025. In addition, heartfelt congratulations go to Dr. Nalinda Herath on his induction as President of the Sri Lanka College of Nutrition Physicians (SLCNP).
