Medical Nutrition Unit at DGH-Matale and MOH Ambangangakorale, jointly conducted a special nutrition program for a group of selected pregnant mothers with nutritional deficiencies, at DS Ambangangakorale on the 23rd of February. 

44 pregnant mothers with pre-identified nutritional problems participated in the program. They were provided with an interactive nutrition counselling session on identifying low-cost healthy food items and donated nutritious dry rations worth 3500/=Rs per person including legumes, TVP, semolina, eggs, sprats and parboiled rice. This was funded by well-wishers of the area.
